Particle Movement Within Waves
Waves can transfer energy over long distances without moving matters over the same distance. Take for example, an ocean wave; the wave moves across kilometres of water without the water itself moving kilometres. Basically, the water isn’t actually moving across distances, only water particles are vibrating and causing the water to go in an up and down motion. An ocean wave is a transverse wave.
